The Upstate South Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, and the local artists and art patrons of Upstate Visual Arts (UVA) have formed an alliance to assist caregivers of Alzheimer's patients in leading a more rewarding life through care assistance. To help alleviate the stress of caregivers while enhancing the public awareness of the talent of local artists, UVA and the local Alzheimer's Association Chapter collaborated to benefit Greenville's Respite Care Program.
In addition to the annual live and silent art auction, a new opportunity for member artists is being included into this year’s activities to enable artists to sell their works.
Juried Exhibition/Silent Auction Form
We are looking for quality work to be included in the silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the Upstate Visual Arts and the Alzheimer’s Association. As artists and an arts organization, we realize that donating works of art to charity auctions takes time, talent and materials. To help our artists offset some of these costs, we want you the artist to also benefit from your donation to the cause. At this year’s auction, any artist who donates work that sells for more than 0 will receive a 25% commission on the sale. If your artwork does not sell, the artwork will be available for you to pick up after the Gala. Any work not picked up by May 30th will become the property of Upstate Visual Arts. If you are interested in donating a piece of artwork for the silent auction, please drop it by the Upstate Visual Arts gallery by May 1, 2007. Upstate Visual Arts is open Monday – Friday from 10-12 and 1-5.
